What is champion island?

Champion Island is a browser game developed by Google in collaboration with Studio 4°C to celebrate the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo. It was released as an interactive Google Doodle on July 23, 2021.

The game follows Lucky, a calico (or sometimes described as a kuro in some in-game dialog) ninja cat, as she arrives on Champion Island, a place filled with athletic competitions and various side quests. The island is inspired by Japanese folklore and mythology.

Lucky competes in seven different sports, representing one of four teams: Red, Blue, Yellow, or Green. These sports include:

Beyond the main sporting events, there are also numerous side quests and challenges to complete, adding depth to the gameplay. The art style is anime-inspired, and the game is known for its charming characters and engaging storyline.
